FROM THEIR EYES

IMG_4277FROM THEIR EYES, is a series that the Lord led me to begin sometime last week. A series, where I will be asking people of whom I am close to as well as those of whom I am not close to, to say a few words on how I make them feel as well as how I inspire them. With this series, I want people to not only see how being an inspiration to others is important to me but to realize that this series wasn’t created to have the spotlight be put on me, but more so to focus on the good of others. I used to be ashamed of myself as a person, but there were a few people whom I cherish dearly, who felt the need to uplift me during the most craziest times of my life, this is my way of giving back. Thank you, to everyone who has taken the time out to spread love, show support to all that I do, and to make sure that I never feel the need nor want to stop or give up again, I love you. “

My name is Tiffany Hightower and you inspire me. You inspire me with the photographs you take, you inspire me with your words and you inspire me with your spirit. I may not know you fully personally and I may not live in the same area as you do, but I get from you a very humbling and peaceful spirit who wants to share what you have, your gifts, your talents with others in a way that is all your own. Your photography has inspired me literally to go out and purchase my own camera instead of always using the camera on my iPhone. I now in a way understand your love for photography. Photos themselves have their own stories and everything has something to say. Your writing unfolds a story using your words whether it describes a photo you have taken or even if it is just your writing alone. All you do is inspiring and you yourself are an inspiration.

Herbeautyspeaks is a rare one. this may be bias, but she’s honestly a gem. knowing her for 14+ years has shown me her heart & then some! since i was 7 and she was 8, we formed what turned out to be an unbreakable bond. growing up with her was not always a walk in the park, but real relationships tend to turn out that way. granted it was not all peachy keen, we’ve had many more blissful moments that overcome the hardships. as we grew closer, i found out that both of our outlets were through writing.. and i thought that was absolutely amazing. even till this day, writing has been a part of us. my Ace is someone you can call a real, genuine person as well as friend. the compassion she has for others shows through her actions as well as her writing. this blog of hers will truly express the encouragement, motivation and love she shares with the world and importantly develops within herself. one of my closest friends; my family.. Herbeautyspeaks , hmm what can I say about this beautiful Soul. Having only known her for a few months she has touched and inspired me in more ways than one. She goes out and creates despite self-doubt or insecurities. She works hard at what she does to not only be a better creator but a better person as well. She connects with Souls and gets to know them as opposed to using them to get the job done. I can tell her craft is one of the most important things to her. However, I’ve noticed her connection with others is most important to her. These are my words not hers but if she was unable to connect with others through what she does it would no longer be a point in doing it. Yes she’s great at what she does and can build and make a lot of money from it. However, that’s not what she’s here to do while on Earth. And let’s be honest there are plenty of amazing creators but not all of them have the ability to touch others the way Destiny has and will continue to do. She is a blessing and I’m honored to be able to call her a friend. Hopefully one day we can collaborate and inspire others together. || I love you Destiny, keep doing what you do. Never stop !!

The focus is upon how one feels but the craving is what causes self- discipline. The craving to know how one perceives another’s work. The feeling of self-consciousness rolls over once a series name such as “From their eyes” is in play. Three words, yet so heavy. Ponder upon them as the artist of the work thinks various thoughts. “What will they say, feel, and will it be negative?” Even a positive trail consists of negative thoughts within that never run dry. The artist of the work is very dominant and leads with knowledge of their ethnic background. Speaking of empowerment of black woman and their love for them. The topic of the poem may not relate to all, but its motive does. They also speak of brown skin, black men, and the fact that each poem is packed with power only makes the mindset more robust! That’s what’s inspiring to the eye. But, we aren’t done yet. The artist doesn’t only specialize in these topics, but all topics genuine to them and even about a common one, “love”. Inspiration for all, not just for one.
